ABOUT CAREEXPERT AUSTRALIA

About CareExpert Australia

We’re a Bayswater-based NDIS provider supporting people with disability across Melbourne’s east. We believe good support starts with listening: understanding what matters to you, respecting your choices and working alongside the people in your life.

Our story

CareExpert Australia was built on a simple idea: support should fit the person, not the other way around.

Too often, people with disabilities and their families find themselves juggling different providers, repeating their story to new workers and fitting their lives around someone else’s timetable. We wanted to offer something different: a local team that takes the time to get to know you, keeps your support joined up and treats you as the expert in your own life.

From our base in Bayswater, we support people with everything from finding a place to live to help with everyday routines and practical support at home. Whatever support looks like for you, our focus stays the same: listening first, being honest about your options and showing up when we say we will.

What guides us

Our purpose To help people with disability live the life they choose, with support that is respectful, reliable and shaped around them.

Respect and dignity

We treat every person as the expert in their own life, and we respect privacy, culture and identity.

Choice and control

You decide what your support looks like, who’s involved and how it’s delivered.

Honesty

We’re clear about what we can and can’t do, what things cost and what your plan covers.

How we work with you

We start with a conversation. Before anything is arranged, we listen to your goals, routines and preferences.

We plan together. Support is agreed with you, and anyone you choose to involve, and set out clearly in a service agreement.

We value consistency. We aim to match you with familiar people, so you’re not explaining yourself to someone new every week.

We work with your circle. With your consent, we keep family, carers, support coordinators and health professionals informed.

We check in and adjust. Needs change. We review your support regularly and whenever something isn’t working.

Our team

Our people are the heart of what we do. Every member of our team is here because they care about helping people live well, on their own terms. We look for people who listen, respect your choices and take pride in doing the everyday things well, and we support them to keep learning so they can support you safely and with confidence.

Quality, safety and your rights

  • The NDIS Code of Conduct. As an NDIS provider, we follow the NDIS Code of Conduct, which sets out how providers and workers must behave, including respecting your rights and acting with honesty and integrity.
  • Your privacy. We handle your personal information carefully and only share it with your consent, except where the law requires. Read our Privacy Policy.
  • Feedback and complaints. We welcome compliments, feedback and complaints, and you won’t be treated differently for raising a concern. You can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544.
  • Inclusion and cultural safety. We welcome Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and LGBTIQA+ people, and we work to make our support safe and respectful for everyone.
